Humble Beginnings with a Big Vision
In 2007, Planet Solar entered the renewable energy landscape with a mission to make clean, sustainable energy accessible to all. From the start, we catered to residential clients, empowering them with efficient, cost effective, energy alternatives. Our journey began with a focus on solar installations for traditional homes but quickly expanded to include new home constructions and commercial establishments. This early dedication to innovation and excellence established Planet Solar as a trusted provider of solar solutions in California.
Adapting to a Changing Landscape
As the demand for renewable energy evolved, so did we. Recognizing the importance of energy resilience, Planet Solar diversified its offerings to include advanced battery backup and battery storage solutions as they became available. This pivotal step allowed us to deliver comprehensive energy systems tailored to the dynamic needs of our clients, ensuring they could harness the power of the sun even during power outages or peak demand times all while saving money.
Leadership Driving Innovation
Under the leadership of Dennis Cox, who became CEO in 2021 assisted by Ronda Cox as COO, Planet Solar entered a new era of growth and innovation. Dennis’ extensive 22-year career in solar energy management has been instrumental in driving the company’s success. There are two strategically located offices in Clovis, CA and Palm Desert, CA that solidified its ability to deliver personalized services to the Central Valley and Coachella Valley communities.
Kirk Weiss, our Senior VP of Sales has been in the industry for 18 years maximizing his experience with Planet Solar. Since 2012 Kirk and Jill Weiss have been an integral part of the company's success leading the Sales Team to new heights throughout the years. Due to their success and passion for the industry and the company, they have since become equity holders in the company.
