Dennis Cox - CEO

Dennis boasts over two decades of dedicated leadership within the solar industry. Commencing his journey as an installer, his natural aptitude and leadership acumen swiftly propelled him to the position of Director of Operations at Unlimited Energy, a pioneering solar company in central California. Recognized for his talents, Dennis was scouted during the nascent stages of SolarCity, assuming the role of the company's Regional Director. Under his guidance, the Fresno, CA office was established, and his trajectory continued as he ascended to the position of Regional Vice President. His responsibilities extended to founding and overseeing regional offices, spanning from Bakersfield to the Oregon border. Not confining his impact to the West Coast, Dennis traversed to the East Coast, playing a pivotal role in opening offices in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey.

During his tenure at SolarCity, Dennis's influence transitioned from steering a modest Fresno office to overseeing a network of 13 offices, with a workforce of over 800+ individuals under his leadership. Following a brief sabbatical, Dennis assumed the role of Chief Operations Officer at Planet Solar for 2 1/2 years. Notably, in July 2021, Dennis ascended to the position of CEO and emerged as the principal stakeholder in Planet Solar, Inc.

Kirk Weiss -VP of Sales

Hailing originally from Calgary, Alberta, Kirk has been a steadfast resident of the Coachella Valley for over 30 years. His entrepreneurial journey began by establishing a network of cellular phone stores before seamlessly transitioning into the realm of solar energy in 2005. Joining the Planet Solar team in 2008 as the Regional Sales Manager, Kirk's remarkable acumen and enthusiasm for solar propelled him into the role of Vice President of Sales within a few years. Few individuals match Kirk's fervor and expertise within the solar industry. His depth of knowledge and passion for solar energy make him one of the most dynamic and informed sales professionals in the field. With a wealth of experience, Kirk has overseen the contracting, design, and successful completion of more than 7,000 solar installations across Southern California. His portfolio ranges from 5kW residential systems to substantial 5 MW commercial installations, showcasing his versatility and proficiency in delivering solar solutions.
